How we have revolutionised S1000D solution onboarding

You would think that if you need to produce S1000D, you just go out, buy some S1000D software, get some S1000D training and you’re up and running, right?

Typically, with most S1000D software, it’s really NOT that easy.

Traditionally it has been a somewhat complicated, slow and expensive process to go from zero to S1000D capable.

This needed to change… and we have done just that with the Xignal S1000D Suite.

Anyone can say their S1000D Solution is easier to deploy and better than all the others. So here’s a step by step guide of what happens when you speak to us about your S1000D requirements (which hopefully demonstrates how easy it is for you and your team to get started with S1000D when you subscribe to the Xignal S1000D Suite).

The first step is to have a chat with us.

Once you get in touch with us, you’ll realise that not only are we a jolly nice bunch, but we also love to talk S1000D and can offer advice and knowledge regardless of where you are in your S1000D journey.

After we’ve discussed your needs, we’ll look at where our Xignal S1000D tools can help or suggest alternative options (yes, we do that if we think Xignal is not suitable for you) and you’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions you have.

Even at this early stage, you’ll already have a good understanding of how simple our technology is to adopt and use. There will be lots of “wow, this is great” and we’ll blush and say thanks very much!

Depending on your security requirements, we’ll either be able to offer you a fully deployed solution for you to install at your site, a fully hosted secure SaaS offering, or something in between.

Regardless of what you need, the best next step is for us to set you up an environment for you to play around in. This can be done within about an hour.  (Yes, it is really that fast to deploy).

We think you’ll be suitably impressed.

We can also give you some tools to help you convert your existing data into S1000D to load into the Xignal S1000D Suite if that’s something that would be helpful.

When everyone at your end has had a chance to review the Xignal S1000D Suite in the test environment, we will run through any specifics you need in order to move forward with your business case or procurement process.  Then when you are ready to place an order we will set up your subscription and deployment.

The time this takes largely depends on your specific requirements, procurement process and when you want to get started, but assuming SaaS is suitable (it’s becoming more and more preferable for increasing numbers of projects these days), we can move your trial environment into a live, secure environment in about an hour.

By this point you will be pretty comfortable navigating around the Xignal S1000D Suite but as part of your on-boarding we will organise remote S1000D training for you and your team, which we can do in one sitting or over several sessions.

This will be tailored to your team’s specific needs and experience. We’ll run through the S1000D fundamentals and get stuck into some hands-on project setup and authoring.

How much does this training cost?  Nothing! zilch!

Both the S1000D CSDB and the authoring environment have been designed in a way that you don’t need to know XML (or S1000D) so you can start to populate data modules in a friendly and intuitive WYSIWYG document view. Publishing is similarly simple using the drag and drop publication builder.

However, if you need some extra training time, no problem. We’re here to help you and are more than happy to jump back on another call and give you some further help if required.

As a separate service, we can also offer more advanced and in-depth S1000D specification training to meet your specific project needs and circumstances, if appropriate.
